Alex Snyder

Alex is the Executive Vice President, Research & Development for Generate:Biomedicines, overseeing all clinical matters. She brings extensive clinical experience, patient focus, and demonstrated track record of leading teams to drive our development of products across a broad portfolio of medicines. She is also a voluntary faculty member at Bellevue Hospital and New York University. 

Previously, Alex was a Principal at the private equity firm Two River, where she was responsible for setting the translational and clinical strategy and execution for their portfolio of novel biotech companies. 

Before joining Two River, Alex was the Head of Translational Oncology at Merck. In this role, she was responsible for conducting Merck-sponsored clinical trials across pipeline combination therapies at worldwide sites and the companion diagnostic strategy, biomarker programs, and quantitative pharmacology for oncology clinical trials.

Alex graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University with a degree in history and a minor in music. She received her medical education at Mount Sinai Medical School, graduated with the highest overall standing, and was an internal medicine resident at Mount Sinai Hospital and a medical oncology fellow at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. After completing her fellowship, she practiced oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
